Speak No Evil

This piece is a spiritual successor to See No Evil. But unlike See No Evil, in which the figure is depicted as willfully ignoring the bleeding wound in favor of “tasting the money”, this figure is very aware of the abuse. The eyes follow the viewer as they move around the painting, and the bruises on the neck and the bloodshot eye leave no mistake about the hurt that’s been caused. And yet, she is silenced.

This piece in particular touches on themes of abuse against and the silencing of women, be it in the corporate world, the courtroom or in politics.
